Internships are a cornerstone of today’s educational system. They allow students to
receive direct experiential training in the field of their choosing. Unpaid Interns are not
employees, and fall under a special classification defined by the Department of Labor.
Generally, an unpaid intern must be engaged in connection with a formal educational
program. Under federal law, the following six criteria must be applied when making the
determination as to whether an intern is covered by the federal minimum wage law:
1. The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the
employer, is similar to training which would be given in an educational
environment.
The internship experience is for the benefit of the intern.
The intern does not displace regular employees, but works under close
supervision of existing staff.
The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from
the activities of the intern; and on occasion its operations may actually be
impeded.
The intern is not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship.
The intern understand that we are not entitled to wages
for the time spent in the internship.
The same factors apply to Internships where students receive stipends or
fellowships on the basic of Credit Score. If you are spending over time and complete your assigned task we give you credit score more credit score converted into stipends.
Internship registration fees = 500 rupees and Training fees = 500
